Got down to R3 vs rc390...it was a no brainer and picked up the Katoom Sat. Already 500 miles. Some minor issues during shakedown...
1. dealer never torqued neg bat connector and bike died during first 200 miles at a gas station...went to start it up, turned key and NOTHING. Was with some buddies and we were able to figure out how to get to batt and discovered fastener totally loose on neg cable. Quick fix and it fired right up.
2. discovered small oil spot under bike next morning....found rubber grommet on top/front of crank case not fully inserted into engine case. Can't get to it without fairing removal. Very small leak so I have been watching closely but making a mess.
3. while looking for oil leak discovered left front side fairing cracked at fastener so decided NOT to touch fairing for fear of dealer claiming I screwed with it and broke it.

Bringing it back to dealer to get above items addressed tomorrow.

Awesome bike...once above items are fixed it should be perfect. First thing on the list is rear fender eliminator.

Have already learned a bunch on this site!
