Update on my stalling/display issue. Service tech found a bad wire connection under the passenger seat. Basically the bad connection was a jumper for the alarm system option. Thankfully he found the problem

Huh. A bunch of us have found that wire; I think there's even a "What's this wire?" thread. First malfunction I've read about due to it, but if it was somehow involved in an immobilizer type circuit, that'd do it. Bike behaving okay now?
