Hey guys,
I managed to strip the throttle cable threading on the bottom of the engine start switchgear box. I was trying to tighten down the lock nut and ended up backing out the cable housing.
Any ideas here? I'm tempted to just epoxy the elbow joint into the switchgear. There is a still a decent amount of thread, so it should hold quite strong. I won't be able to remove the throttle cable from the switchgear, but if I ever replace the cable with a Motion-pro unit, I'll have to replace the switchgear with a slimmer unit anyhow.
So yeah. Thoughts on the epoxy?
The throttle cable elbow joint. It's metal.
The switchgear housing. It's plastic.
