Not just more bang but the when the squish in the combustion chamber is set properly 1.0mm or so it becomes more efficient (not just due to raised compression), but actually is less prone to detonation. When the squish is 1.0mm/.040" or less the flame can't travel there(propagation). When you have a loose squish is when things get hairy. Grant it @ 12.5:1 compression it's not that big of deal on the stocker. The factory sets them up loose for clearance/warranty risk reasons. Setting squish is just the proper way to build a motor.

Yeah tighter squish band too. Forgot about that one. Guess that means you could run more timing where you might have been knock limited in the past.

No idea if that is an issue? A lot of the modern pent roof combustion chambers stop making power with more timing well before the timing leads to knock. No idea if this is the case on the RC.
