Hi folks...thanks for having a look at the thread.
I am prepping the 2 race bikes and I have come across a bit of an issue when trying to lock-wire the Oil-bung(Sump-plug/oil-drain).
Because of the filter screen that sits behind the plug, or more precisely because of the tab that you hold it by to remove it, the sump-plug is basically hollow all the way into the head of the plug. This leaves no room for drilling and lock-wiring without creating a leak at the drill-holes.
So I'm thinking there must be a solution to this for the cup bikes and street-to-race conversions that are running in the US...can anyone offer some help or an after-market sump-plug/drain-bolt that will work?
