low rev limit

Just out of curiosity, why is the rev limit so low on this bike. All the competition (R3, Honda , kawasaki) all have a higher rev limit then ours. The rc390 feels like it could do so much more, especially since it feels it gets its real power towards the end of the limit :(

The r3 and ninjas are 2 cylinders which makes a big difference and the cbr has a smaller piston and therefore less reciprocating mass.

Or you could always raise the rev limiter.

Limit seems okay by me. Shifting at about 9,500rpm thru the gears gets the job done.
