Just wanted to share some info about riding on the freeway today.
Speed limit 70mph, 3 lanes Bright sunny 72 degree day.
Merged at 68mph. Found an opening in the right lane.
center lane a Prevost pusher RV bus with a 18 weeler semi combination in front.
The wind push was crazy. The bike was flicking itself! I was sketched out.
I found a quick solution, tuck tuck tuck! Get as low as you can, try to get below the faring!
Now the wind pushes were just nudges.
When you are tucked in like that you can just see the view in front of you and the speedometer tack etc. (not the sky or anything above your faring).
The bike was flashing at me to change the gear from 5th.
Switched to 6th and no worries, now I am at 78 mph and the giant wall of semi and bus disappear behind me.
The free way can be a sketchy place with the RC. Just remember to tuck tuck tuck and try to merge safely, Not so easy with the factory mirrors...
The head checks help and most drivers in this area are more than happy to look out for a merging motorcycle.
