I picked up my RC390 the other day near Atlanta, GA (see other thread) and since then I've put about 300 miles on her. Yesterday I decided to take it on the interstate for the first time.
I'm happy to say that the US spec model has a higher top speed than all the other countries versions. I'm 210lbs, and I hit 111mph on a flat/slight uphill section of GA400 up north.
The bike still had more to give, but it was in deer country and I didn't feel like going faster that late at night. It didn't take that long to get up there...once it hit 105 it took maybe 5-8 seconds to see 111...not sure of the RPM but my shift light (haven't changed settings) started blinking at 110. After a few hundred RPM of blinking it switches to solid, then you've got about 3-400 RPM until ignition cut.
I think with exhaust/intake/tune this bike should easily see 120mph+ for the US
