What color to paint?

I just picked up a second RC390 for a few aftermarket goodies that my current race bike is missing. The new bike will be getting a freshen up before it gets resold. The fairings have already been painted a flat black but in the process of choosing a color for the frame and wheels and looking for suggestions, so far leading contenders are fleuro yellow or black

Photo is of my race bike, this bike will not be having the swing arm painted

Choosing frame colour is crucial in getting look right. Taking recent KTM race bikes:

Fluro Yellow would need white bodywork and a Husqvarna logo?

VR46 bikes are black with a blue frame.

Red body work goes well with black frames as does black body work.

Thing to note is wheels don’t necessarily need to match frame and good schemes tend to have black wheels, Orange frame and black wheels looks brilliant.

Here’s one of the Citylifting RS bikes which shows how wheel and frame colour works

Also think about differing colour wheels so often you see like blue rear black front or one I like, dependent on bike colour is red rear and green front.

End of day it’s what you want out of the bike.

If your plan is to sell it, the best choice almost always is stock, whether it is parts or paints.
