I just ordered a new frame for my "slightly damage" RC 390. Take my advice if you are going to buy a crashed street bike to make a racer out of it look at it VERY CAREFULLY and trust nobody!

Geeeez, by the prices asked on ebay
i figured they were pricey new. Under $600 from my guy aint bad anyway. I see them listing used ines over $1000!!!

So beware the Ebayers! Too bad ktm isnt selling crate engines.

Is there a tried and true method of checking a frame for any issues?

Eyeballing it and running string to check wheel alignment is about it as a casual buyer.

how was that bike crashed and where was the damage? Any pics?

KTM P/N 081275O. The engine is available on occasion here in the states. Depending on Ohio's inventory. The engine alone costs 60% of bike....

Yeah, its a bit much but at least its available. I tried that pn on my usual ktm web page and it came back negative.

Im not buying a spare today, but I sure want to kniw whats out there. Thanks guys.
