I am 55 and have ridden high capacity bikes my whole life. I started riding pure sport bikes 25 years ago and hence my addiction to riding stupid on the street began.Even though I bought those bikes my thought that 75 HP is all you need for the street was my mantra, I was always looking for a...
I started bike for first time in a few weeks and instead of the whining noise the fuel pump makes after turning ignition on, it made a noise like it was having trouble turning. The battery was low on power. I put a new battery in, but the bike will not start. I do not believe the pump is priming...
Hi guys,
I just hit 1000 miles on my RC today at the track. After the first couple of sessions I noticed a significant drop in power in the higher gears 5/6. If I redline 5th, then shift up to 6th it barely changes the power output. i can get up to about 78-80 in 5th and then barely manage to...
I have been wondering about this for a couple of months. If you have ever held the passing light switch on when riding you know how much better it is than just the single high beam. I also noticed one of our vendors sells an LED upgrade and plug and play harness to have both lights on for high...
Hello,
New to the forum so apologies if this has been discussed or is not relevant to the forum.
I am 45 and love the playfulness of the rc390. I am in no way a racer but would love a track day for fun. Question here is, as much as I love this little bike I desire the build quality and...
Hi All,
I haven't been on here in a year-- trying to get out and actually ride the thing! I have one major complaint that I'm trying to track down the best solution to. When going from closed throttle and rolling on, there is a very sensitive turnover point where the engine goes from braking to...
The specifications of KTM RC 390 specify engine power as 43 bhp (approx 32 kW) @ 9000 RPM.
1) This power is available at the Engine Flywheel or at the end of the Transmission Shaft?
2) If I want to tune the ECU and measure performance, how much should be the power measuring capacity of the...
I might be selling the RC for one of these next year if the power comes out in the range where everyone is speculating.

So as I am sure most of you are aware of my bike issue that took place seconds after I had installed a power commander from commonwealth. If not I will refresh, immediately upon turning on the key the engine light began to flash. Upon startup the cooling fan turned on full speed and no temp was...
I installed my power commander today and have two questions.
1. Item 15 in the instructions says to unplug the stock crank position sensor, it's a black 4 pin connector near the FRT, LH side of cylinder head. Picture in instructions shows a 6 pin and a 4 pin connector. I could not find a...
Just want to get more information on the Power Commander, Are there anybody using it for their bikes? Just wondering if it's a necessary upgrade. Already got the new yoshi exhaust and K&N air filter. Thanks!
After a couple of cold weather rides I realized that i missed the heated grips I had installed on my Aprilia. I need a copy of the wiring diagram so I can find a power source that is controlled by the ignition switch. Switch on - power, switch off - no juice.
The users manual does not have...
Long awaited post. Sorry for the delay. The Yoshimura is a good alternative option to the Akrapovic system. Each have their pros and cons. Will be discussing each along the way.
First set of data. The blue line is bone stock average blue. The green line is only installing the yosh system, and...

So now that the PCV is installed. it was time to install the Dyno Jet Wideband Commander 2 ( WBC2 or WB2) p.n. 15-7023x........ so we could have more Control over the Fuel map on the bike.
As many of you know the KTM 390 has a difficult ECU that doesn't allow closed loop to be altered...

This was a no brainer for us to swap out the Air Filter to a BMC.
Get a little more flow, maybe a little more power... but most of all, it's washable and will last well longer then the bike. So it pays for itself after the first 1-2 x changing the OEM...
My PVC will be in the mail tomorrow, I only saw 2 tunes on Dynojet's webpage. Is there anyplace to start with tuning this thing?? Just new to the power commander .. thanks
