I'm wanting to possibly do some stunt practice on my rc but can't seem to find anything in the forum regarding parts or talk other then track use. I just wanted to start a discussion on the topic
Still new to bikes and new to track riding but decided that what I wanted to do in 2018. So......
Picked up that 2016 RC390 from our favorite St Louis dealer on super clearance, twas comically dusty.
Then spent the winter tearing it apart and slapping the good stuff on it. Many thanks, mostly...
So, I participated in my first ever race this last weekend.
I raced with ASMA ASMA Roadracing Home Page.
It was an awesome weekend even though the weather in Deming, New Mexico sucked yesterday.
Roger and Michelle are great hosts, along with their crew they put on a fantastic event, and the hole...
A little back story.
I'm 52 years old and I first got interested in motorcycle racing when I was a kid.
For various reasons I didn't start riding till about 6 years ago.
I finally got my race license this year, and my first race was with ASMA racing yesterday.
So, you might imagine this was a...
Just curious to hear from guys who track their RC390's... is a steering stabilizer necessary on these bikes? I'm sure it depends on track and how hard you are riding, but it seems a lot of the cup bikes don't have them so I assume they are probably not as important as on a bigger bike?
Bike was having a helluva time staying cool and my last track day i thought i made had the head gasket issue. Got my bike down to chad on my way to Georgia and Alabama. He had the engine out and basically figured out the issues while i was still on the road! Stayed in touch with me the whole...

Ok so I'm taking an rc390 to the track next year, I rode a Duke last year on some track days and my main gripe was the tach was really hard to read. Does anybody know if you can put an analog tack on them?
Thanks
Located in SoCal. I'm listing it for $5000 but I'm taking offers. Hopefully someone else can build up this bike.
I love the bike but I just have too many motorcycles for me to ride and maintain. It has 577 miles. It has a fender eliminator and tank grips. Everything else is stock. There's no...
2015 RC390 with ~1,700 miles, 100 of which are track miles. Love the bike but selling due to relocation for work. The bike is in like new condition, never crashed, and is race ready. Have almost all the street parts as well. Mods include:
-Ohlins rear shock
-Driven rear sets
-Driven clip ons...
Looking for opinions. Shouldn't be hard to scare some up :D
If I spend three hours a week of hard riding on the track and this is all I do...
when should I?
change the fluids?
oil
forks
brakes
lube the chain
lube the major bearings
etc...thoughts?
Pulled these off my 2015 rc390 when I picked it up last year....had 200 miles on them , but I was wanting a stock exhaust as I wasnt planning to do track with the bike....
ran good with this set up when I pulled it off.....asking $375 as a package deal!....plus a little for shipping...
I bought these in June when I was at the track but because of unforeseen circumstances I will not be able to ride on the track again this season. Brand new and never mounted, $330 shipped, soft front and med. rear.
Send me a PM if interested.
Hello all,
I was involved in a bad wreck at PIR a little over a month ago and I completely demolished both cans of my Yoshimura exhaust. Just checking to see if anyone is willing to part ways with theirs or if you have any spares you would like to sell? Trying to get to the track here in a...
Hello there!
I moved recently from Touring bike's to 2015 stock RC390. Wanna try different riding experience :p
After two weeks commuting and weekend on a race track I think I made a good choice :o
Looking forward to learn a lot in here!
Cheers:cool:
I have been very active on this forum for the last 18 months..... I had never owned a KTM until 13 months ago. Initially, I was THRILLED with my 2016 KTM RC390... I had a "good one".... I had no "issues" with my bike that was used 50/50 track/street. I'm 48 years old, and realized I'm too "old"...
