clutch play

When I pull my clutch lever for the first 3/4" to 1" nothing happens. Is this normal? When I took my motorcycle safety foundation test the Honda bike had very little play from full rest to when it started to engage.


The bike shifts fine and the clutch works good. I am just concerned with the first 3/4" - 1" "play"

Seems like a bit much, I had to adjust the engine / bell crank end on mine first day I had it....

Probably just have to adjust the clutch cable, that's how mine was too. It's crazy how a 1/2" from what you're used to can totally mess with you. I felt like I could barely ride before I fixed it.
