racing - rear spring on aftermarket shock

Hey Guys, wondering what everyone is running for rear spring? I swapped on an Elka from an R6 onto my bike and it has a 500 in it right now.I know that is too light given that the rc does not have a linkage. I have access to a 650 that i was going to put into it but thought i would see what others are running first? anyone running heavier? 700? 750?

thoughts?

I run at a rather tight and bumpy course.

I run a 600 on my JRi. I have a 550 that I can go to if I need to, as well.

On my JRi I am running a 700#, and upgrading to a 750# this weekend. I weigh ~160#. I argue it's dependent on your style and pace for the track.

100% agree is personal preference, but i am running a shock not meant for the RC and am just looking for a starting point. Think i will throw in a 650 and set it up to my liking and see how it feels as i prefer a stiffer spring.
