I know I have seen replacements for the OE eyesore, but I somehow didn't bookmark the sources. IIRC, I didn't see them from the US...Singapore, maybe? I don't even remember the brand. Anyway, has anyone found a decent replacement? Paging the forum vendors...

I've seen some on eBay and think Muckabucka has an aftermarket one on his bike, his is probably titanium though.

I have this one because I'm not a fan of orange anodized parts that fade to pink:

CRAFTMAN : Stem Bolt [W-1404-101]

However, if I did it over again, I would buy the kit from Ebay and use Easy-Off to remove the anodizing.

I don't mind eBay; I'm just a little hesitant to buy from overseas. I've done it several times, but I always sorta hold my breath during the long delay.

If anyone gets that 3-pc kit, I'd be interested in the install of the fork caps. I imagine those are under spring tension?

What you don't like the hot dip galvanized bolt finish?

Odd that they chose to mix and match fastener finishes. Most are hot dip but a few are plated. Notably the cam caps have 4 plated bolts and 4 dipped bolts.

Guess it is not a Japanese bike but we have already covered that one a few times.

Well, armed with Muckabucka's tip, I found this one. Seems spendy, but it's a nice looking option.
