I've heard about buying motorcycle tunes online by telling the dealer your mods and they can sell a PCV map but does anyone know a dealer that does this for the RC390?
Hello all!
So I pulled the pin on a 2015 RC390, after seeing them race around my local track I fell in love with the style.
The idea is that I can use this as the daily beater and keep my NC30 for the weekends and spend more time on her to bring her back to her former glory.
This purchase was...
Just wondered, would this be a worthwhile topic? I am interested in getting some feedback from owners who are;
A. Happy with their RC390
B. Ok with it's reliability, given the usual caveats of operator error (which apparently is NEVER a thing), being used as a race bike or street bike, or...
Hi guys. I'm new to the forum and definitely new to bikes. I just bought my first bike (a 2017 ktm rc390) and I'm extremely excited. It hasn't been delivered yet but I do know I want to get the suspension adjusted to my weight pretty soon after I get it. I'm going to be using this bike mainly...
Let's cut to the chase.
Can you guys wheelie your 390? I've been trying recently and not sure I can get it up
I'm pretty much stock, do I need some power mods or just wait till the 790 Duke drops bc I'M DEFINITELY GETTING THAT
Hi so I succumbed to temptation and put a BMC air filter in and popped a slip on Ixil muffler on my 2017 RC.
It goes like the clappers but I now notice an increase in vibes through the bars at around 70km/he that wasn't there before.
It actually doesn't feel that good compared to how smooth...
She's awesome. First bike too! I'm a bit short with like a 29" inseam and feel super comfortable. Hot as hell out here in Phoenix so I need to get a venty jacket & pants. Mine is a bit loud with some vibration noises (if anyone has a clue where I should try and tighten to fix please let me...
Thought I'd share my little mod that I find incredibly useful.
Took an orange leather belt from slidebelts and cut it to fit around the tail as a hat holder. 5 min job and so nice to have.
(Bonus! Removed graphics for a cleaner look, and took her in for her first photoshoot at work)
Hey Guys starting off a race bike build and i have been scouring the site for a week or so now and still have lots of questions :)
1) Exhaust for more power and weight loss.. Currently thinking about the werkes GP, but am having a hard time finding dyno info anywhere for all the exhausts.. any...

Hi from NJ. I am a new owner of a 15 RC390, I have been riding for over 30 years and had many bikes. I purchased this RC from a RC390 forum member with some mods and began a enjoyable project.

Hi all!
Although I don't ride RC390 a friend of mine from another forum recommended this forum, as source of infinite wisdom and faster lap times. ;)
I recently bought Duke 390 which I want to use for track and moto gymkhana (among other things). I'll be counting on your advice regarding mods...
Ordered the bike Nov14 and was forced to wait till May15 when it finally arrived. Been racing motocross on KTMs since I was 4, this bike was the perfect fit for me. Coming from a Ninja 300 I purchased when I was 16, huge upgrade in my opinion. Just joined the forum after spending a lot of time...
Hi there,
I followed a link to the forum when I was Googling RC390 mods a few weeks ago - that Werkes USA exhaust looked real good to me, currently trying to figure out which organ to sell to buy one!
I started riding in August last year, and my RC390 is my 2nd bike; my Duke 200 was stolen...
Had a little time to make a proto type piece here to verify fitment and check operation. I am using Frank's captive spacers in the front wheel. Please give me some feedback and or interest in it so I can get a price on having some CNC'ed. Works very well, just loosen pinch bolts and axle and...
Just finished this 'light' build. Same bike in both graphs. Bike configuration is; stock exhaust, K&N filter, open lid, with a PCV. The blue curves are the stock engine, with before mentioned external mods, tuned. The green curves are with thin gaskets installed, head porting, valve touch up...

Just curious, what do you guys think the minimum mods are to get the RC390 track day ready?
Obviously you can just roll it off the show room floor and run it, but is there anything that's so bad it needs to be fixed asap?
I recently picked this thing up, I'm getting old and think I'd rather the Duke 390 for the more straight up riding position. No mods, marks, scratches or anything like that.
$5700 Canadian or $4650 USD
