I know you probably saw this on the Duke forum but...

94 decibels using a phone app from a significant distance is interesting but not the side by side comparison I was hoping for. Would it be possible to perform a test like this for the Werkes pipe and the stock exhaust?

Dude really... Buy it yourself and do the test if you want the data that bad. I'm doubtful Werkes would even provide a video let alone what hard racing has already done, they have gone beyond what most shops would provide.

Think we are a little spoiled on the 390 forums with all the great customer service we get from our site sponsors.

Interesting video on the actual test procedure. I have had my dirtbikes tested at various events and they always ask for the engine rev limit rpm and then test at half of that. The little RPM tool they have dances in a circle when they hit the desired revs. Seems like I was not being testing by the book, or at least not that standard.

Only bike I have a loud pipe on is my XR650R, has a full Pro Circuit T4 on it and it blew a 91. The rest of my dirty bikes are stock pipes and they just look at me and snicker and then tell me I pass.

I like the system that Werkes came up with and would love to lose 10lbs but flinch at the idea of paying $550 + another $100'ish for ceramic coating on an exhaust that might lose power and give me and everyone around me a headache. I'm sure forum members will be dyno testing soon so I can wait for that info but It's pretty easy to do a side by side comparison using a cheap decibel meter to see how much louder it really is. I would even be happy if they used the phone app as long as it was used in a similar manner as in the video. I'm not knocking Hard Racing or Werkes (They both awesome)- I just want a little more info before buying parts.
